Emily's Choirs
Emily's Choirs
During the Covid-19 crisis I am offering to run my singing groups and choirs for a flexible or voluntary fee. If you feel able to support my work, you may that in several ways:
1) Leave me a tip and a message using the Ko-fi button on the right:
All events have been cancelled, due to a close family bereavement. I am spending time with my children.
Tickets will be refunded. Apologies for any inconvenience and I'll be in touch soon.

Feisty Choir Tasters
Sing acapella untamed!

Time & Location
15 Oct 2021, 19:30 – 21:00
Oxford, Lake St, Oxford OX1 4RP, UK
About the Event
Would you like to sing songs that might be fierce/political/profound/fun? Strong contemporary songs by living women writers, written for women's acapella voices, with new takes on lullabies, work-songs, songs of protest and songs of nature, alt-folk with a twist, and also global harmony which resonates, charms, inspires and surprises? Can you 'hold a part' in tune with others? Can you move in time and sing? Can you commit to working towards a performance?
Would you like to be in a choir with a difference? (This is not a traditional choir/rock choir or Barbershop — there will be no matching t-shirts or floaty scarves!)
Do you fancy a social element to your choir? (i.e. meet up in the pub afterwards)
Come and try it out for free before you make a commitment.
Rehearsals will be on Fridays: 7.30pm-9.00pm. 29th October-10th December
Subs will be £7.00 per session paid termly.
We'll be in the Gill Garratt Room
at South Oxford Community Centre, Lake Street, Oxford OX1 4RP (off Abingdon Road.)
Thank you for the RSVP as an expression of interest and as an important register of attendance for track & trace.
Please feel free to come to one or both taster sessions.
I will send more details about safety protocols.
I look forward to welcoming you to this brand new project.
