About the Event
Helen Chadwick is one of the UK’s finest vocal artists, a composer and performer, she has created a wealth of beautiful music for voices. Her brilliant approach to vocal composition and performance has moved audiences around the world.
Come and discover some of Helen's unique compositions in an afternoon workshop. Songs will be taught by ear for anyone to join then stay for the evening concert. Helen is joined by Sian Croose and Barbara Gellhorn who are reuniting their gorgeous blend of voices for an inspiring programme.
The Bright Field takes its name from a poem by the Welsh poet R.S. Thomas about a moment of unutterable beauty when we can seize the day and be present in each moment of our life. The lyrics include uplifting words from poets across the world: from the love poetry of Chile to the Sufis of Persia; from poetry of the land in Scotland to Finland; from an Italian love-song to an Indian village to a burning candle of hope in the dark times of Iraq.
